sejauh 17 km dari Licin menuju ke Kawah Ijen, jalanan yg kami lewati sungguh memprihatinkan. Awalnya kami mencoba mengendarai motor kami dari Licin menuju ke Kawah Ijen, namun baru sekitar 3 kilometer, kami menemui jalanan yg rusak parah, dan kamipun jatuh tersungkur. Akhirnya kamipun kembali ke Licin dan mencoba hitchhiking, dengan menumpang truk pembawa belerang.. kamipun berangkat ke kawah ijen. Lihatlah, betapa sulitnya akses menuju ke kawah ijen. 17 km jauhnya harus menemui jalan seperti itu. Itu hanya sebagian foto yg berhasil kami ambil. Masih ada "jalan ekstrim" lainnya. Menanjak, berbelok tajam dengan batu2 serta pasir, bukan perkara mudah. Untuk menyewa mobil 4wd atau mobil2 beroda besar bukan hal yg murah. Ah, besar harapan kami untuk jalan akses ke kawah ijen di perbaiki, agar sektor pariwisata kawah ijen makin berkembang.
(as far as 17 km from Licin to Ijen Crater, the road that we passed was really pathetic. For the 1st time we tried to ride our scooter from Licin to Ijen crater, but 3 kilometres we rode our motorbike, we fell down. We were facing the damaged road. Finally, we back to Licin and tried to hitchhiking, Joining the sulphur truck. Look at the pictures, how damaged the road is. 17 kilometres far away. Its just some photos that we take. There are more extreme damaged road that we're not take. Uphill, sharp turn with the rocks and sand everywhere, its not an easy deal. To rent the 4wd car is not cheap for backpackers like us. Hopefully, the road is being fixed soon, so the touristic sector could be evolve.
